Umbrella (Excess Liability) and Bumbershoot Insurance
Umbrella Insurance (also known as Excess Liability Insurance) protects you with an additional layer of liability over and above the underlying policies on your business, such as general liability, workers’ compensation and vehicle insurance. Limits are provided in increments of $1,000,000. If someone files a claim that exceeds your underlying policy, the umbrella covers the excess.
Bumbershoot Insurance covers additional limits of liability for all your exposures on land and, unlike Umbrella Insurance, over the water, too.
